    • Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (30 August 1797 1 February 1851) was an English novelist who wrote the Gothic novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus (1818). Herbert George Wells (21 September 1866 13 August 1946) was an English writer. Prolific in many genres, he wrote dozens of novels, short stories, and works of social commentary, history, satire, biography and autobiography.Yevgeny Ivanovich Zamyatin (1 February, 1884 10 March 1937), sometimes anglicized as Eugene Zamyatin, was a Russian author of science fiction and political satire. He is most famous for his 1921 novel We, a story set in a dystopian future police state.George Griffith (18571906), full name George Chetwynd Griffith-Jones, was a prolific British science fiction writer and noted explorer who wrote during the late Victorian and Edwardian age.Francis Henry "Frank" Atkins (18471927) was a British writer of "pulp fiction", in particular science fiction aimed at younger readers. He wrote under the pseudonyms Frank Aubrey and Fenton Ash. His son was writer Frank Howard Atkins.
