    • The title of this book "The Role of Yoruba in the Spread of Pentecostalism in Central Nigeria, 1960-2017" is informed by the spread of Pentecostal churches in Nigeria at large, particularly in the central part of the country. It is therefore pertinent to assess the role of Yoruba in the spread, and to ascertain how their churches have contributed to the growth of Christianity as well as the socio-economic development of the area. To achieve this, the paper employs the inter-disciplinary approach of research methodology. It also uses 'Modernization Theory' in discussing the advent and spread of Christian religion that has now overshadowed the African Traditional Religion (ATR). In the course of this discourse, the paper discovers that Yoruba Christians established (and brought down to Central Nigeria), numerous Pentecostal churches like: The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Living Faith Church, Deeper Life Christian Church, Glorious Church of the First-Born, Mountain of Fire, Christ Embassy Ministry, among others found in virtually every nook and cranny of Central Nigeria, and they have significantly influenced many positive religious, political and socio-economic/infrastructural.
